Elegant Wedding Invitations

Thursday, June 3rd, 2010

Your much awaited dream wedding is fast-approaching and you want every part of it to be very special. One significant component of any wedding that necessitates careful consideration is the wedding invitations.

Remember that they set the overall tone for the rest of the occasion and establish a theme or motif that will be employed throughout the wedding favor boxes or wedding décor, from table numbers to place cards, food packaging, favors, and even mementos. It’s important that your invitations are designed with complete details and essential embellishments to achieve the look of elegant wedding invitations.

Why not settle for less?

While it can be easy on the pocket to buy off-the-shelf invitation from the nearest office supply store, there are some things to remember. First and foremost, the quality of providers can be very poor, since several print-at-home invitations are created to be both very affordable, and printable on home printer – meaning the paper used is normally thin and might get little perforation marks.

Also, it’s critical to assess the expense, time, and design restrictions that can result from having home printed invitations. You have to consider the layout time, to include the custom fonts and cost of ink cartridges, if necessary. It’s vital to note as well that a regular word processing system has less versatility and flexibility in terms or typesetting when matched against professional design program.

Keep in mind that your invitation lay down the tone of your wedding, so it’s critical to think ahead about the motif and color. Pick a palette of three to five colors to convey cohesion. Also, make use of consistent designs and typefaces. (more…)

Saa Paper

Wednesday, May 26th, 2010

Saa PaperThe paper mulberry also known as Saa paper is a tree in the Moracea family, which is native to eastern Asia. Its other names include Kozo, Halibun, Tapacloth tree, and Kalivon.

The bark of this tree is made up of very firm fibers, and can be utilized for creating high-quality paper. The tender twigs and leaves can serve and feed deer, thus this tree is at times called as the “Deer’s Tree”. A Fijan term “Masi” was used to delineate the paper mulberry trees, which was transported to the Pacific during journeys of migration. Its bark is employed to create cloth and then colored or dyed and embellished with traditional patterns. The finished cloth is used and worn during several Fijian ceremonies, to include funerals, weddings, and even after the birth of a new baby.

Wedding Flowers

If you are thinking about using mulberry paper in your wedding, you’ll be delighted to know that there are many convincing reasons why you should do so. The number one reason is that flowers made from mulberry paper will not wilt or die before the wedding even begins. Real flowers if not received and arranged on the day of the wedding can wilt or die for the reason that they have very limited life span and they need cool temperature to survive. Therefore, if you don’t have a place with the right temperature for real flowers to live, expect that they won’t look as pretty and glamorous on your wedding day. (more…)
